History
Our beginnings
Bit Service Company Ltd. was founded and created in Esterhazy, SK in 1965 to help service the mining sector and manufacture cutting bits for Saskatchewan’s new and developing underground potash mining industry.
Since then Bit Service has grown to be an innovator in the design, manufacturing, and distribution of industry-leading cutting and conveying components for the mining industry.
We provide a wide range of products for the mining, construction, and materials handling industries.
Now with a head office in Saskatoon, our markets have not only grown outside the local potash industry, but across the country as well.
Saskatoon Location
In the early 1970s we opened a second location in Saskatoon – perfectly positioned to serve new mines forming in the region. This location later became our headquarters, and still is today.
Continuous Innovation
We have long had experience in bulk material handling and added this to our list of solutions to assist our mining clients as a further service.
Analysis of existing drag chain and belt conveyor systems to determine reliability and efficiency upgrade opportunities, controlling and eliminating material spillage and designing new conveyor systems are all part of the current program we are serving our client base with.
