Meet our Customer Service Manager, Evan Lucyk

At Bit Service, we have over 50 years of experience in the industries of mining, construction, and material handling. We care about our customers and are always providing the best possible experience to everybody we meet. However, we wouldn’t be the company we are today without the people who make it happen. That’s why we’re introducing you to Evan Lucyk, the man behind our customer service excellence. We talked to Evan about his role in and out of the workplace, and this is what he had to say.

Question: How long have you been at Bit Service?

Answer: 15 years.

Q: What’s your official title at Bit Service?

A: Customer service manager.

Q: What’s the most fun part of your job?

A: It sounds cheesy, but the people I work with. If I didn’t work with great people, I wouldn’t have lasted this long at the company.

Q: What’s your favourite drink (or beer, wine, cocktail)?

A: Guinness beer (yum).

Q: What’s your favourite part about living in Saskatchewan?

A: Our four seasons and getting outside to enjoy them. I love BMX racing and boating in the summer.

In the winter, snowboarding and ice fishing is the thing to do.

Q: What’s your favourite movie?

A: Rad. (In case you don’t know, Rad is a 1986 film about BMX racing. It was produced in neighbouring Alberta).

Q: What’s your guilty pleasure?

A: Cracked pepper Spitz. (Also known as sunflower seeds.)

Q: What’s your favourite music/band?

A: Mostly nineties punk-rock. The Misfits are my favourite band.

Q: Who is your biggest inspiration?

A: My kids. They inspire me to be a better person every day.

Q: What’s your favourite food?

A: Burgers. I love an artisan twist on classic food. (Homemade brioche buns, anyone?)

We hope you have something in common with Evan—and if you’re ever looking to work alongside Bit Service, you can be sure he’ll be right there for the journey. To learn more about the people behind Bit Service, keep following our blog for more discussions with staff.
