Wishing Ivan Patrick a Happy Retirement After 40 Years at Bit Service!
Bit Service has been working in the industries of mining, construction, and material handling for over 50 years, and along the way, we’ve had a ton of amazing people working with us. Many people stick around for a long time, and we like to show them how much we appreciate their dedication and continued service to the company. We really couldn’t do it without all our staff, which is why when somebody leaves, it’s a big deal.
That’s the case for Ivan Patrick, who for the past several years has been the Branch Manager at our Esterhazy location. Ivan has been with us for 40 years and has been in a variety of positions throughout them. He’s somebody who has left his mark on Bit Service, and now, he is moving into retirement (as he deserves)!
Working with Bit Service means having a lot of useful technical skills, and as manufacturing and custom fabrication imply, a lot of us can build things from scratch. That’s why we thought it would be an excellent idea to make Ivan a retirement gift. In the past, we have had our fabrication shop, along with office staff, come up with a unique Bit Service gift for someone leaving our team to enter retirement. As this project took shape, we took a couple of left turns and came up with an intricate and unique bench. We thought it would be a long-lasting representation of Ivan’s time with Bit Service.
Ivan is what many like to call a no-nonsense person. He’s a super honest and intelligent person who would always be there to discuss his thoughts on an issue openly and come up with an excellent solution to any problem. You always knew where you stood with Ivan, and we love how well he can communicate with others.
Ivan is a team player. This came through in his day-to-day work at Bit Service, but it also showed during after-hours activities, like at our Christmas parties. Ivan was always willing to play fun games and participate in activities, no matter how trivial they may have seemed. He is a good sport and always added to the enjoyment of any event he was a part of.
We’re sad to see Ivan go, but we know it’s his time to kick back and enjoy his retirement. After 40 years of Bit Service, we thought it would only be fitting to share his retirement gift with you, appreciate these awesome photos of him, and bid Ivan farewell (but not forever—we might still need him to play games at the Christmas parties with us).
From everybody at Bit Service, thank you, Ivan Patrick, for 40 years of service with Bit Service. Don’t be a stranger, come back and visit, and enjoy your beautiful retirement gift from staff!
