ADMIN TEAM FEATURE

Most of you may already know that Bit Service is a highly dedicated company to serving those in the mining, construction, and materials handling industries by offering a wide range of solutions, including warehousing of inventory, full fabrication facilities, and much more. We can do so much to meet our client’s diverse needs because not only do we have awesome production and warehouse staff, we are also powered by a fantastic staff of experienced technical, administrative, and shop personnel.

We know that it takes a village, and we are blessed to have some of the best minds and hearts working on our Bit Service team—all of whom keep things running smoothly with a smile on their faces. As we say here at Bit Service, we “strive to provide exceptional service and satisfaction to the customer, to deliver value and meet or exceed expectations.” We know that without our stellar employees, who we consider family, achieving such excellence simply would not be possible.

The Bit Service admin team, in particular, is the branch of our family tree that keeps things humming on many levels. We wanted to take this time to introduce two admin team members located in our Saskatoon head office to you and share some fun and random facts about them that will hopefully reveal just a small window into why Bit Service won the lottery when hiring them.

Cheryl MacLean is a Senior Accountant at Bit Service and has been a member of the company family since November 2017. Cheryl will be the first to tell you that her favorite part of being adopted into the family is her Bit Service “siblings.” In her own words, Cheryl shared with us that she had been specifically looking for a smaller company to join—one where she would be able to establish meaningful working relationships in a supportive environment. According to Cheryl, she has found exactly that and more. She particularly emphasized how much she enjoys the laid-back setting and working with people who are genuinely passionate about their jobs.

Now on to the fun facts: Cheryl’s favorite movie is “Jerry Maguire,” her go-to book selection would be a good suspense thriller, and the meal she hungers for most is the perfect pairing of prime rib with a cold juicy pint. Having lived in Saskatchewan since she was 5, Cheryl feels this place is home, and she honestly couldn’t imagine living anywhere else.

Kyle Kocay is a Shop Supervisor at Bit Service, having worked with the company for 11 years. Kyle especially likes the culture at Bit Service that empowers employees to make decisions and also encourages a collaborative environment that allows them to easily work as a cohesive team.

When posed with our fun random fact questions, Kyle shared that he prefers tv to film and that his favorite show currently is “Yellowstone.” As to what he reaches for when hunger strikes, his preferred food and drink combo is pierogies with mushroom sauce and a good old-fashioned Dr. Pepper. Also a big fan of living in Saskatchewan, Kyle noted that he especially treasures country living and the freedom Saskatchewan affords its residents. When he’s not working, you will most likely find Kyle enjoying the outdoors, going fishing or hunting, or helping out on his family farm.

These are just two team members who are indispensable to our Bit Service family, and we are proud to have now formally introduced you to them.
